Happily Ever After At The Westin Hotel In Philadelphia

Feelings of love and celebration filled the air of the Westin Hotel Philadelphia on Carly and Jeremy’s wedding day. One of the unique factors about their wedding was that the wedding prep, ceremony and reception all took place inside the hotel. Talk about convenience for both the wedding party and their guests!

Photographer Ron Soliman was there to capture amazing shots from both inside and outside of the hotel, including scenic shots from the couple’s “First Look.” One of the most touching moments for the team from Allure Films to document that day was the ceremony, especially when the bride walked down the aisle and was given away by her mother and father to the Beatles classic, “Here Comes The Sun.”

As soon as Jeremy smashed the glass at the end of the ceremony, it was time to party! In addition to creating the breathtaking chuppah, Carl Alan Floral Designs also helped transform the hotel’s Grand Ballroom to a space fit for a dream reception, including submerged floral and candle centerpieces at every table. After a delicious meal, the guests were dancing all night to great music by EBE’s LA Starz.

For a sneak peek at all of the fun, take a look at this sample of Carly and Jeremy’s Westin Philadelphia Wedding video:

Jennifer & Daniel’s Fun-Filled, Romantic Countryside Wedding

If you’re looking for a genuine countryside wedding, then Ironstone Ranch is the perfect place for you! When Jennifer and Daniel ventured outside of the Philadelphia suburbs and found themselves at this gorgeous ranch in Elizabethtown, they knew they had found the venue they had been looking for.

Ironstone Ranch is a working horse ranch situated on 275 acres of stunning land, complete with all the rural charm of rolling green hills, orchards, seasonal flower gardens, restored farmhouses, and live animals roaming the grounds. The couple’s Thursday wedding could not have been held on a more beautiful day, and it certainly was a great kickoff to the weekend!

Jennifer and Daniel both prepared for their ceremony at the ranch’s fully restored 1860’s farmhouse, where the Allure Films crew was able to document heartfelt behind-the-scenes looks. One of the most touching moments was when Jennifer and Daniel had their “first look”…which wasn’t actually a first look at all since they wanted to wait until Jennifer walked down the aisle towards her groom. Instead, they held hands as they hid behind a door, reading sweet cards from each other and exchanging loving words before heading off to their ceremony.

The ranch’s Open Air Mini Barn served as the wedding chapel, a rustic space filled with décor elements and floral arrangements all designed specifically for the couple’s ceremony by the ranch’s in-house designer. The wedding ceremony ended like a fairytale, with the couple being whisked away together on a romantic white horse-drawn carriage for a ride around the acreage. The couple made sure to take stops along the scenic route for photographs taken by Epic Photography.

For the outdoor cocktail hour the adults were able to sip their drinks and play cornhole and horseshoes, while the kids were treated to pony rides and a visit from an adorable donkey named Leroy. After cocktail hour, Jennifer and Daniel met up with their guests in the Ironstone Ranch’s Main Barn for dining on a delicious meal by C&J Catering and dancing to a performance by the incredible Bachelor Boys Band.

Laura & Greg’s Fairy Tale Wedding At The Kimmel Center

Accomplished journalists Laura and Greg just finished an important chapter in their never-ending fairytale: their wedding day!

Laura and Greg recently tied the knot at the renowned Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Center City Philadelphia. Both the ceremony and reception were held within the performance venue’s Hamilton Rooftop Garden.

The Hamilton Rooftop Garden is a beautiful atrium oasis that offers incredible views of the Philadelphia skyline. Petals Lane created a wonderful environment with design elements such as the beautiful chuppah, romantic candle lanterns lining the aisle, and stunning floral arrangements at the reception.

Photographer Susan Stripling was there to capture all the great moments alongside the talented videographers of Allure Films. After the couple said “I do”, the evening consisted of touching speeches from family members as guests dined on a wonderful culinary treat from the amazing chefs at Garces Events.

After dinner, everyone danced to an incredible set performed by the American Deluxe Band, while the beautiful stars shined on them through the Kimmel Center’s soaring glass ceiling.

Philly Flavor With A Touch Of New Orleans Tradition At The Independence Visitor Center

The City of Brotherly Love felt like the Big Easy on Theresa & Bret’s wedding day!

Theresa & Bret were married in a beautiful ceremony held at the Liberty View Ballroom of Philadelphia’s Independence Visitor Center. Although the couple currently reside in the Greater Philadelphia area, it was important to the couple that they incorporate the wedding traditions from Bret’s hometown of New Orleans into their special day. The team from Allure Films was happy to capture every last detail on film.

The Independence National Historical Park felt like the French Quarter when Theresa & Ben twirled their parasols in the air, leading a “Second Line parade” to the Ballroom at the Ben after exchanging their vows. A Second Line parade is a New Orleans wedding custom: traditionally, the “first line” consists of the wedding party and a brass band, while the rest of the wedding guests  create a “second line” of revelers whipping their handkerchiefs in celebration. Not only was this a sight to see, but the band was fantastic!

Just like the first half of Theresa & Bret’s wedding, the reception at the Ballroom at the Ben was nothing short of sensational. The ballroom was completely adorned in gorgeous floral arrangements and table centerpieces by the talented artists of Lamsback Floral Decorators. Guests were served cocktails, appetizers, and a delicious main course prepared by the awesome culinary team at Finley Catering. After the couple’s first dance, the dance floor was filled with everyone moving to the tunes of yesterday and today performed by EBE’s Milan 77.

Congratulations Theresa & Bret. As they say in N’awlins “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!” Translation: Let the good times roll!

Lots Of Love & Plenty Of Laughs At Sam & Jill’s Philadelphia Wedding

November 15, 2017 Blog, Jewish, The Logan Hotel

A great marriage is built on love, trust…and in the case of Sam and Jill, knowing when to “give each other Reese’s after a long hard day!”

Philadelphia natives Sam and Jill recently tied the knot at the City of Brotherly Love’s The Logan Hotel. Allure Films had the honor of documenting this joyous occasion for the amazing couple and their family.

Both the wedding ceremony and reception took place in The Logan Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. It was incredible to see how quickly everyone worked together to transform the venue into a space fit for both parts of the wedding within a very short window of time. Allure Films and Baiada Photography were there to capture all the great moments, including Sam and Jill saying “I do.” Philadelphia’s Ten Pennies Florist were responsible for the lovely floral arrangements that lined the aisle.

The bride and groom’s wedding vows were heartfelt and tender, filled with lots of love and plenty of laughter. Just like the happy couple! We love the personal twist that they were able to add to their otherwise traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.

As the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour, the Grand Ballroom was magically transformed into the reception hall. A live band was there to keep guests moving and grooving throughout the night.

Sam and Jill’s wedding reception definitely consisted of a lot of love, laughter and dancing! All night long the dance floor was packed, with Sam and Jill always found at the center of it. At one point Jill even becomes a part of the band! Aside from filming the traditional hora dance, we had the privilege of being able to capture moments from the Mezinke dance: a flower crowning ceremony honoring Sam’s parents for marrying off their last child.

Mazel Tov Sam and Jill, here’s to a lifetime of love, happiness, and plenty of Reese’s together!

Meggie & Gordon Return To Their Hometown To Say “I Do”

We love it when we’re asked to film military weddings!

Recently, Meggie and Gordon – members of the US Navy – returned to Meggie’s hometown to exchange their vows. As members of the US Navy, they had spent plenty of time traveling the world, and were more than happy to finally celebrate their special day with all of their family and friends at home in Malvern.

Allure Films and Campli Photography were there to document the couple’s special day from beginning to end. After Meggie got ready in her childhood home, she walked down the aisle of St. Patrick’s Church. She was married to Gordon in a traditional ceremony, which was just as beautiful as the bride was!

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the stunning Aronimink Golf Club, which was finely decorated with floral arrangements and centerpieces designed by Tish Long. The bride and groom arrived to the party in style, wearing his-and-hers monogrammed loafers as Meggie rocked her US Navy t-shirt with her new last name on the back.

One of the best moments we captured was on the dance floor, when Meggie showed off her dancing skills by doing the classic “worm” in her wedding dress! We also loved the looks on the bride and groom’s faces as they cut their wedding cake with the ceremonial sword, a true military wedding tradition.

Meggie & Gordon, here’s to a beautiful future together as husband and wife!

A Night Full Of Wow’s At Jeff & Maureen’s Water Works Wedding

It’s hard to sum up Jeff and Maureen’s wedding day in one particular word but “breathtaking” seems like an excellent choice!

Jeff and Maureen’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at Water Works, a National Historical Landmark situated between Boathouse Row and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When it comes to offering phenomenal views of the city, Water Works is a prime location.

The bride and groom exchanged vows before their friends and family in the historic venue’s Grand Pavilion, an outdoor space of neoclassical architecture that offers fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding river and Center City skyline. While Jeff and Maureen’s heartfelt vows captivated everyone’s attention, their pups nearly stole the show sporting their own best tux and gown as they made their way down the aisle.

The reception was held in the Main Ballroom where the floral arrangements by Beautiful Blooms provided the perfect touch to the room’s stunning interior of crystal chandeliers and natural hardwood floors. Allure Films enjoyed capturing Jeff and Maureen’s reaction to their beautiful reception decorations.

One of the the many highlights of the reception was the fireworks display that served as the perfect grand finale to the happy couple’s special day.

Congratulations Jeff and Maureen, here’s to a lifetime of making beautiful memories together!

Romance Abounds At This Stunning Overbrook Country Club Wedding

Your wedding day isn’t just some ordinary day in the books. For Mary Lauren and Derek, it was a day that they’ll never forget!

Allure Films joined Philip Gabriel Photography at Overbrook Golf Club, where Mary Lauren and Derek were each getting ready in separate rooms. We captured several touching moments of the bride and groom reading one another’s letters before the ceremony, and receiving help from their family and friends to strap up shoes, button up dresses, and tie bow ties.

Mary Lauren and Derek said their “I Do’s” in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony in front of their loved ones at Saint John Neumann Parish in Bryn Mawr. After the vows were exchanged and the newlyweds were announced, everyone made their way back to Overbrook Golf Club to kick off the party with an outdoor cocktail hour over the 18th Fairway.

Overbrook Golf Club provided an incredible natural landscape where the team from Philip Gabriel Photography was able to snap some jaw-dropping romantic shots of the bride and groom. Just as stunning was the décor in the ballroom, where Petah Bashano Event Design had pulled out all the stops with their floral centerpieces and romantic candlelit tables.

After a delicious meal, guests of all ages danced the night away to the upbeat tunes performed by the Don Eaton Band. There was never a moment when the dance floor wasn’t packed!

Mary Lauren and Derek, here’s to your wedding day and a lifetime of more extraordinary days ahead.

Love, Laughter, & Happily Ever After At This Phoenixville Foundry Wedding

Just like the old song goes, “Love will keep us together.” Throw in a dash of fun and laughter and you’ve got the wonderful couple that is Christine & Nick!

This fun-loving couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony held at Saint Coleman’s Church in Ardmore, PA. At the church the Allure Films team and Hoffer Photography were able to capture many touching moments, including the bride walking down the aisle towards her groom at the altar, as well as sharing one-on-one moments with family members.

After the ceremony it was time for the guests and wedding party to head on over to the Phoenixville Foundry for the bride and groom’s reception – also known as the party of their lives! The reception took place in the Foundry’s main ballroom. This facility within the Foundry contains a mix of timelessly historical and modern architecture that made for a great interior backdrop for photos. Christine and Nick made their grand entry in style, with the groom playing a mean air-guitar performance accompanied by his bride rocking along with him! After feasting on a delicious meal catered by J Scott Catering, the couple of the hour hit the dance floor dancing away to the hot tunes spun by Silver Sound Entertainment’s DJ Steve Croce.

Not only was the reception a blast, it was also a sweet celebration in every sense of the word. The couple had a terrific dessert spread including a make-your-own sundae station, along with a make-your-own candy box station that guests could take home with them afterwards. Christine and Nick, we wish you many more years of sharing the laughter and love together!

A Magical Horticulture Center Wedding

October 10, 2017 Blog, Horticulture Center

From the moment Morgan took her first step down the aisle to meet her future husband, Justin, their wedding felt like something out of a storybook.

Philadelphia-based wedding planners Lauren James Events played a huge role in helping the bride and groom’s fairytale wedding dreams come to life. After a classic car ride from her childhood home to Fairmount Park, Morgan met Justin under a stunning wrought-iron archway wrapped in flowers and vines. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows to one another in front of their friends and family in the midst of the majestic and whimsical gardens of the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center.

After the ceremony, the princess bride and her prince were taken away on a horse-drawn carriage to join their loved ones for a magical evening of celebration. Their reception was held underneath a tent on the Horticulture Center property, filled with violet- and lavender-colored florals designed from the vision of Petah Bashano Event Design.

Not only were the decorations stunning, but one decoration in particular was looking especially delicious! The Donut Tree (yes, you read that right!) was definitely a hot spot for photos and satisfying your sweet tooth after the main course. Philip Gabriel Photography captured several great shots around The Donut Tree, as well as countless beautiful moments throughout the evening.

When the wedding party and guests weren’t chatting and reminiscing about stories of the bride and groom, they were dancing the night away to the sensational musical performance by The Vincent James Band.

Fireworks capped off the magical evening, and Morgan and Justin were caught stealing more than one kiss in the middle of the show! Congratulations to the happy couple, and best wishes for a life of happiness together!
