The Ceremony at Saint Peter and Paul Basilica Cathedral
There is nothing more beautiful than a conventional wedding and a fun ceremony. Jennifer and Nick chose to have a traditional wedding ceremony at the Saint Peter and Paul Basilica Cathedral in Philadelphia. Their ceremony was elegant and timeless. The couple was surrounded by friends and family as they shared their vows and were pronounced husband and wife.
After the ceremony, Jennifer and Nick took some classic Philadelphia wedding pictures. These classic pictures include one of our favorite locations, city hall! No matter the time of day, City hall is a great place for wedding pictures. The city lights illuminate the couple, making for great shots at night.
The Reception at The Union League
After the ceremony, Jennifer and Nick, along with family and friends, made their way to the Union League for a great reception. The Union League offers many different event spaces to fit any size wedding party or event. Jennifer and Nick chose to have their reception in Lincoln Hall. Lincoln Hall, with portraits of all the League’s presidents, is viewed as a portrait gallery representing over 100 years of portraiture, mostly by Philadelphia artists.
Jennifer and Nick danced the night away with help from all of their loved ones. Speeches were made by Jennifer’s mother and best friend, along with Nick’s best man. The speeches were heartfelt and genuine, celebrating the union of Jennifer and Nick.
There was so much love throughout this special day, and our Allure Films team was so happy to be apart of it.
Congratulations again to Jennifer and Nick! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love.
There is nothing more romantic and dreamy than a lakeside wedding, especially when it’s held at The Lake House Inn. Chelsea and John celebrated their special day with an outdoor ceremony in the back patio of The Inn. Before the ceremony, they both started their day by getting ready in The Inn. With help from her bridesmaid, Chelsea transformed into a beautiful bride with her wedding gown, makeup, and hair. When finished, Chelsea donned a gorgeous lace gown with nude heels and silver accents.
The Wedding Ceremony
Chelsea and John chose to have their wedding ceremony behind The Inn. You would never guess how beautiful behind The Inn is. It is right on the water which is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The back of The Inn is also beautifully structured with concrete stairs and black metal details.
The ceremony was lovely, with traditional vows you can’t go wrong! After exchanging vows and rings, the officiant pronounced them husband and wife. They walked up the brick aisle as their family and friends celebrated around them.
After the ceremony, photos were taken with family and friends in front of the grand concrete steps behind The Inn. The background was decorated beautifully with lanterns and flowers, the perfect decor for a lakeside wedding.
Reception at The Lake Front Ballroom
After pictures were taken, everyone made their way into The Lake Front Ballroom. The ballroom gives off a rustic chic ambiance and features a Cyprus wood exterior with oversized gooseneck lighting. It has an uplift 27-foot draped ceiling, a borderless dance floor, Murano glass chandeliers, a copper bar, and custom millwork. The ballroom is the perfect place for a lakeside wedding reception.
Chelsea and John danced the night away with help from family and friends. Through multiple speeches, everyone celebrated Chelsea and John’s union. John made a lovely speech thanking everyone coming together in the name of love!
There was so much love throughout this wonderful day, and our Allure Films team was honored to be apart of it.
Congratulations again Chelsea and John! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
ThePhoenixville Foundry is a favorite spot to shoot weddings at Allure Films because of the variety of shots we can get of the bride and groom on property. The venue also recently won an Editor’s Choice Award from Philly Weddings because of its stellar customer service and stunning location. The gorgeous venue is just a short drive away from Philadelphia in Chester County. The short yet scenic drive through hilly green suburbs is a great way to start your guest’s day as they arrive at the Phoenixville Foundry. Allure Films has had years of experience shooting at this venue, and we are proud to be a Phoenixville Foundry wedding videographer!
Historic Phoenixville Foundry
The Foundry was built in the late 1800s and was used by the Phoenix Iron & Steel Company in its early days. Being built along the French Creek, the Foundry offers lush green views and rustic pieces hinting at the original use of the building. The grounds offer 18,000 square feet of space to capture the perfect clips to create your wedding day video.
As time went on, the Foundry was no longer needed. Thankfully the town realized the historical significance and beauty of the location. They have done a great job keeping up the building and surrounding area over the years. Recently in 2006, the Hankin Real Estate Group took over the Phoenixville Foundry and designed an event space to mix modern decor with touches of the past.
The Venue
The deeply rooted history of the Phoenixville Foundry is obvious in the architecture of the venue as it brings in the charm of rustic steel and stone. It is easy to feel romantic in a space that is bathed in warm, natural light. The sun streams in from the large paned windows over the course of the day. With many different spaces in the venue, the Foundry offers a versatile space to design your perfect day. A customizable experience allows you to create your dream wedding to remember for a lifetime.
Phoenixville Foundry has two separate indoor event spaces to choose from, plus plenty of outdoor space to explore as well. The abundance of different backgrounds makes for an exceptional wedding day video. With a variety of shots in the final product, your guests are sure to be wowed!
West Wing Ballroom
A popular choice for your wedding is the West Wing Ballroom. This ballroom holds enough space for up to 275 seated guests. The ballroom has elements of wood and rust and has simple tan painted walls. This offers a neutral palette allowing you to add your wedding decor without worrying about it being too busy.
The high open style ceiling exposes the intricate steel truss work overhead, with long columns of light raining down beautifully into the room. Large windows brighten up the room with warm natural light. Each window also has a curtain, allowing you to control the amount of light you want throughout the day.
The center of the room can be opened up for use as a dance floor, and the front of the room has a small stage with audiovisual connections provided for use as well. If you choose the West Wing Ballroom for your wedding reception, you are also able to use the private entrance and restrooms for this space. We love getting shots of your guests having fun in the West Wing Ballroom for your Phoenixville Foundry wedding day video!
Cupola Ballroom & Mezzanine
This grand ballroom offers 8,100 square feet of space and was named after one of the two original cupola furnaces. This ballroom can hold up to 180 guests for a ceremony. But, when combined with the West Wing Ballroom you can have up to 400 guests at your Phoenixville Foundry wedding.
The main highlights of the Cupola Ballroom are the gorgeous grand foyer and sweeping double staircase that leads up to the mezzanine. Your first entrance as Mr. & Mrs. is sure to be grand walking down the elegant staircase! Tall ceilings stretch 60 feet up and you get excellent views of the dining space from the above mezzanine. The mezzanine is the perfect spot for a cocktail ceremony or cake cutting. The space itself is flexible and will accommodate almost any table set up or staging. Cupola Ballroom has an industrial charm that highlights a hip shaped roof and clerestory windows.
Phoenixville Foundry also has a special event kitchen located behind the scenes. This allows for staff and caterers to set up without getting in the way of guests. The mezzanine level also offers a private suite for bridal parties, performers, or planners to get ready or touch up throughout the day. The Cupola Ballroom has an audiovisual set up and high-speed internet to go along with the built-in 24×30 foot dance floor.
West Patio
Another great spot for entertaining at the Phoenixville Foundry is the West Patio. Sitting off of the West Wing Ballroom, the patio is a great addition to your reception to create an indoor and outdoor space for your guests. It also offers another beautiful photo and video taking spot with the brick patio and trellis garden.
Sculpture Garden
The Sculpture Garden is one of two outdoor event spaces up for use for your Phoenixville Foundry wedding. This spot holds up to 400 guests and can be used for a ceremony or outdoor reception. Fire pits dot the space to keep your guests warm as they celebrate all night long!
The Sculpture Garden is lined with large steel poles and an intricate pergola as a centerpiece. The outdoor spot is surrounded by bright greenery and healthy trees for a natural vibe and open skies. The combination of indoor and outdoor shots in your wedding day video makes for a great variety in the final product!
Lastly, the column truss bridge is another great spot to shoot your wedding day video or capture a few photos at the Phoenixville Foundry. Take your wedding party around the two acres of greenery to take a breath of fresh air on your big day and grab some incredible photos.
The lush greens surrounding the wooden bridge make it a popular spot to gather. Steel beams reach up and surround the bridge to offer a naturally framed photo of the newlyweds. The bridge has lights that dot the top of the steel beams. This allows you to capture outdoor photos night or day! The Covered Bridge is the perfect spot to escape and capture a memory at your Phoenixville Foundry wedding.
The great part about the Phoenixville Foundry is the ability to mix and match spaces to create your ideal indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your event space! Of course, this all depends on the number of guests attending and the weather of your wedding day. The staff at the Foundry will always be sure to have a backup plan ready in case of sour weather.

Please be sure to reach out if you have any questions about your wedding videography at Phoenixville Foundry!
Ellen and Matt celebrated a beautiful wedding day at Jeffrey Miller Catering’s Bellevue Hall. During a pleasant July day, the two married outside Bellevue Hall in the grass.
Getting Ready
Before everything unfolded, we captured some shots of Ellen and her bridal party preparing for the big day. However, there were many more little guests involved in this big day! Ellen’s bridesmaids, and nieces, joined her in preparation. Everyone involved donned a matching floral robe to begin the celebration. With the help of her bridesmaids, the finishing touches were finally in place, and Ellen was ready to go see Matt.
First Look
Ellen descended the stairs in her gown and waited for her soon-to-be husband. After his own preparation, Matt made his way to see his bride for the first time on their wedding day. Before he even reached her, Matt was already grinning widely. The two shared a heartfelt greeting while Matt exclaimed, “You look amazing!” and “You look beautiful!” They shared some laughs and a few twirls together before getting ready to meet their guests. After some private time together, Ellen and Matt made their way outside for the ceremony.
A Ceremony in the Grass
Outside Bellevue Hall, the greenery and neatly kept grounds made the perfect backdrop for this wedding ceremony. With white chairs lined in the grass, florals arranged, and guests ready, their ceremony began. Ellen’s father walked her down the outdoor aisle to meet Matt at the altar. After exchanging vows, Ellen and Matt were announced husband and wife. Their guests cheered as the two made their way back up the aisle and to their reception.
Reception outside Bellevue Hall
Ellen and Matt continued their festivities outside Bellevue Hall in a tented area. The tent was beautifully decorated with string lights and more greenery. Their tables were accented in light blue and grey, giving it a peaceful and airy set up. With a burst of energy and cheer, Ellen and Matt made a grand entrance into the reception. The two skipped and danced their way to the center for their first dance. Though their entrance was fun and exciting, their first dance slowed down into a romantic moment for the two. Surrounded by family and friends, the newlyweds began their journey together as husband and wife.
Speeches
As the reception continued, the guests made speeches about Ellen and Matt’s relationship. One theme rang through particularly: they compliment each other. Ellen’s father spoke earnestly, “Matt loves Ellen. he listen to her, he understands her. If you ever watch their give and take, it’s very interesting, but what you see is a mutual respect for each other that will make a lasting relationship.”
In another speech, they were told that they were fan favorites with all of the nieces and nephews, which was evident throughout the day. All of the children were involved and had a wonderful time throughout the wedding day. There were even outdoor games, like badminton and corn hole, for both the kids and the adults to enjoy. While Ellen and Matt are already parents to a few dogs, they are also expecting a baby to extend their family even more!
We had a wonderful time capturing Ellen and Matthew’s wedding day at Bellevue Hall. We wish you two all the best on all of your future adventures, and with your growing family. Congratulations again!
Time and time again, couples ask an important question when planning their wedding: “Is wedding videography worth it?”
The question is often asked once the wedding photographer is chosen. Why not get the best of both worlds with a photographer and videographer?
Remember, photographers aim to capture the essence of each special moment through a series of photos, while videographers focus on documenting your wedding story in its natural flow.
Here are three great factors to consider when deciding whether wedding videography is worth it:
Hear Everything
The biggest difference between the two is that your wedding video will offer some of the actual audio from your big day.
You will be able to hear the moment you said “I do”, the heartfelt speeches from close family and friends, and the special moments in between. As you celebrate each anniversary, you’ll be able to relive the day exactly as it unfolded. You’ll be able to hear your father’s words, and see his expressions.
Capture All The Moments
Looking to capture all of those amazing wedding moments? You won’t miss a minute with effective videography.
Aside from the big memories, you’ll also have the in-between moments on film – the groom’s emotions before the first look, your grandmother dancing at your reception, your flower girl walking down the aisle, and more.
Take It Anywhere
Once documented, your love story can go anywhere with you – and can be shared for many years to come.
If you’re really stuck on whether wedding videography should be a part of your budget, think about other items that are only temporary, like flowers, food, and even the dress.
Now, consider the value of a video that will last a lifetime. Think it’s worth it?

On June 26th, Allure Films had the honor to be Samantha and Spencer’s wedding videographer in Philadelphia.
We are celebrating their one year wedding anniversary! We are so glad our team filmed their beautiful wedding day and captured so many heartwarming moments. They held the wedding at the lavish beautiful Rittenhouse Hotel that overlooks Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rittenhouse Hotel is rated Four-Star because their team caters to every aspect of your wedding to make it an elegant and memorable event.
Samantha and Spencer were such a great couple to work with, and we are so glad our Allure Films team was able to record their special day. They shared their endearing story with us, as high school sweethearts, Samantha and Spencer have grown up together and learned to love each other more each year as time went on. Your spouse should be both your love and your best friend. Samantha and Spencer are both of these to each other, making them an amazing couple and such an honor to meet them.
While they exchanged vows, family and friends looked on with love & support. Beautiful flowers hung overhead on the chuppah. A chuppah holds a beautiful tradition and symbolism. It represents the Jewish home with its four posts and its cloth canopy. The gorgeous arrangement was from Evantine Design. When the two exchanged their first kiss as husband and wife, their guests erupted with applause.
During the reception, more of Evantine Design’s arrangements decorated the beautiful venue. Everyone mingled and hugged the bride and groom as they made their entrance. Our friends from Philip Gabriel Photography accompanied us and took great photos of the special day. The crowd of guests kept their feet moving to music from Empire Sound throughout the night. There was so much excitement, especially when the couple was lifted in the air during the hora. The Hora, or chair dance typically danced to the music of the traditional Jewish song. The bride and groom are often hoisted into the air on chairs while their friends and family dance in a circle around them. Such an awesome tradition!
Their families welcomed each other with open arms and raved about having new family members that they are so grateful for. Many people commented that they were their favorite couple. The reception was filled with hugs, heartfelt speeches, and of course, love. You could feel the love in the air!
We had such a great time filming Samantha and Spencer’s wedding day for them. We are happy to know that they can always relive that day through their wedding film. These are special moments that capture the spirit of the day. Congratulations again Samantha and Spencer! We know you have many more great memories to come. Happy anniversary!
