Videography Coverage: Which Is Right For You?

March 11, 2021 Wedding Films

Videography Coverage Options and Film Lengths

At Allure Films, we offer a variety of videography coverage options. We have five options, starting from a basic package to a more detailed option for your big day. Everyone receives our “Feature” package when they book with us, and then every package after that builds from it.

Within these packages are different lengths of films: The ninety minute Feature Film, the three to five minute Preview film, and the one minute Social film. Each of these films captures your wedding day story, varying only by the details included. With different length films, it allows you to share your wedding multiple different ways.

Film Lengths

The Social Film

Our newest addition to our videography offerings is the social film. This one minute film is designed to be shared on social media, specifically Instagram. This gives you a great way to show off the primary parts of your wedding day. This film gathers every incredible moment of your day and condenses it into a one minute video. Check out the video below for an example from Leah and Matthew’s wedding day.

The Preview Film

One step above the social film is the Preview Film. Preview films can vary in length but are typically between three and five minutes. Previews films hold more detail than the social film, and show off more of your special day by gathering the most important parts. Every tier of our coverage options comes with a Preview Film. See the film below for the Preview version of Anya and Russell’s wedding day:

The Recap Film

This highlight film is perfect for entertaining and includes all key events of the day with customer-selected music and key live audio. At around 15 minutes, this film captures longer speeches, and more moments throughout your big day. Show it off to guests that attended at the next get together!

The Feature Film

The last type of film we offer is the Feature Film. The Feature includes comprehensive documentary of the entire day featuring live audio of the ceremony, reception, and entertainment as well as other key events of the day. The feature film is meant for memories and to preserve your legacy. This ninety minute film captures a broad range of your wedding day from start to finish. You will be able to relive speeches from family and friends, your vows, and other great moments. The feature film can be passed down for generations to come, or simply just to relive your most special day. As one of Allure Films’ fundamental elements, we offer this film with every tier of our coverage options.

Coverage Options

The Feature

The Feature coverage comes with one film maker for six to eight hours, ceremony and reception coverage, a feature length 90 minute film, a three to five minute preview film, and one thumb drive with the films. This coverage is designed to capture the essence of your day with the addition of a preview film. As our most basic package, this will give you the standard wedding film from one of our expert videographers and editors, but will not be as detailed as our other packages.

Documentary

A step above the Feature, our Documentary coverage option adds a solid eight hours of coverage and an additional camera at the ceremony. The additional camera is great for capturing different angles of the ceremony. You will be able to catch different reactions of your guests and get a different perspective on the events that unfold. Documentary Coverage also includes a recap and a social film.

Videography Coverage

Two different angles from the same ceremony, provided by an extra camera.

Journalist and Journalist Plus

The Journalist Coverage is our most popular option among couples. A key feature of the Journalist option is dual pre-ceremony coverage. This means our day starts with yours. We film what happens behind the scenes before everyone gathers together. Some of the most touching moments happen during this time. Our team has captured brides and grooms unwrapping emotional gifts, heartfelt moments with the wedding party, and first looks from their parents. This shows the emotion that starts before you reach the end of the aisle. Check out the clip below for a look at a visit from a furry friend before the ceremony. The groom attached a note to their dog and the dog delivered it to his bride to be!

http://vimeo.com/516297007

For even more coverage you can opt for our Journalist Plus package. This option adds a second filmmaker to your day and extends coverage length to ten hours. This option is great for couples with a large guest list, around 250 and above. A second film maker can gather twice as many angles and events.  Two filmmakers ensure full pre-ceremony coverage of both halves of the wedding party.

Producer

Our most inclusive videography coverage option is the Producer package. The Producer includes three film makers and a sound engineer. This option is for longer weddings that require extra coverage. We designed this option for those with large-scale weddings to ensure you receive an adequate amount of coverage at our highest quality.

Our coverage options all come with a variety of add-ons including Zoom services, blu-ray discs, rehearsal dinner coverage, and more.

Appleford Estate Wedding – Rachel & Shawn Video

February 3, 2021 Appleford Estate

An Appleford Estate Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Rachel and Shawn celebrated their big day with a beautiful Appleford Estate wedding in Villanova. With lush greenery, a fieldstone home, and sparkling ponds and waterfalls, Appleford feels like a romantic dream.  This 24 acre venue is perfect for outdoor weddings along rows or flowers and forest. In her vows, Rachel recalled how she wanted to feel like a Disney princess growing up. With Appleford Estate’s fairytale venue and finding Shawn as her prince, Rachel’s dreams came true.

The First Look

Before the day began, Rachel and Shawn shared their first look upon Appleford’s grounds. Their humorous and emotional meeting summed up the kind of couple that they are. At first, Shawn did not get close enough to Rachel so did not see him, prompting him to give a tug on her veil. A bit stunned, Rachel turned and laughed with her soon to be husband. They were a mixture of laughter and tears as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Shawn remarked, “You look beautiful” as he wiped a tear from his eye. After their heartfelt meeting, Rachel and Shawn continued on to pose for photos around the estate.

Photo Opportunities

We were joined by our friends from Philip Gabriel Photography on this special day. Working alongside them, our Allure Films captured Rachel and Shawn’s shared moments. All across Appleford Estate there are a multitude of picturesque backdrops. These made for gorgeous wedding photos for the two. In every photo, their smiles were so genuine, it was like they were not even aware that we were there to get videos and photos. The two walked hand in hand through the gardens and ponds to make their way to the ceremony location.

An Outdoor Appleford Estate Wedding Ceremony

Rachel and Shawn shared their intimate ceremony in the grass at the estate. Large, overhanging trees filled the area’s background.  Luckily, they had beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony and the sun shone through the trees through it. White flower petals lined the aisle and led up to a beautifully decorated chuppah. Rachel and Shawn shared personalized vows and a sand mixing tradition for their ceremony. During their vows, there was a mix of humor and sincerity. Shawn choked up throughout his vows, while referencing inside jokes between the two. He also vowed “If you ever lose your sparkle, I will shine you up to your former luster, and if you ever get lost, I will guide you home because home is where you are, and home is where I want to be.” After the vows, they celebrated with a unity ceremony. This ceremony has the two combine different colored sand into a container, representing their lives being joined together in union. When pronounced, their guests cheered wildly for the two newlyweds.

The Reception

The reception was held on Appleford Estate’s outdoor terrace. Guests danced and dined inside and out of the stone terrace. Family and friends gave speeches about Rachel and Shawn individually and their relationship together. Each speech developed one theme, however, Rachel and Shawn are each other’s best match. The two continued to celebrate throughout the night with more laughter, dancing, and smiles. We were so grateful that our Allure Films could help capture such a magical day. Rachel and Shawn, we hope you two share many more days of laughter together. Mazel tov!

A Church Wedding with an Outdoor Overbrook Golf Club Reception

Getting Ready at Overbrook Golf Club

Allison and Adam’s wedding day started with the two bustling around behind the scenes, getting ready at the Overbrook Golf Club. In matching robes, Allison and her bridesmaids prepared for the day while sipping on champagne. After hair and makeup, Allison took one last look at her wedding dress before taking her final step in getting ready.

Overbrook Golf Club Bridal Party

Meeting the Father of the Bride

After a final cheers with her bridesmaids, Allison tearfully opened some pre-wedding gifts and cards. Even though the day was just beginning, everyone was feeling the love and getting emotional quick. After wrapping up with her bridesmaids, Allison made her way downstairs to meet her father. At the bottom of the stairs, Allison’s father exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, beautiful!” upon seeing his daughter in her wedding dress. They shared their touching moment, and then made their way to the church where her father walked her down the aisle.

At the end of the aisle, Adam awaited his bride to be.Each and every one of Adam’s groomsmen smiled widely as they watched Adam meet his bride. The wedding party all looked full of joy seeing their friends come together as husband and wife.

Allison and Adam’s Church Ceremony

The ceremony began with a sermon on the meaning of love between two people. Specifically, the sermon focused on love’s endurance. A part that rings true in all marriages stated that the two must strive to “live a love that is kind and patient, not rude or inflated, love that rejoices with the truth that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things, because that kind of love never fails.” After the initial readings, Allison and Adam began to exchange vows. Adam wipes a tear away before placing a ring on his now wife’s finger. Friends and family cheered on as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Arriving at Overbrook Golf Club

After the ceremony, Allison and Adam made their way to Overbrook Golf Club. They arrived in a luxurious, antique town car with “Just Married” on the back. Their stylish entrance put them right at the front of Overbrook’s Clubhouse. This was a great spot for a photo opportunity from Azzolina Photography.  Though the clubhouse is regularly used for dinners and receptions, Allison and Adam celebrated their reception outside near the golf green. Before making their way to the reception, Allison and Adam had more photos taken in front of the manor with their family and wedding party.

Overbrook Golf Club Wedding Entrance

After their montage of photos, everyone made their way to the reception. They continued the days celebration on the Overbrook Golf Club‘s patio area. This area overlooked the gold course with stunning views. One by one, friends and family stood up to make their speeches. Allison’s father made jokes about when Allison first brought Adam over for dinner. He spoke about how easy it was to see how much Adam cared for Allison from those first few meetings, and he thanked Adam for “loving Allison as much as we do.”

Weddings Speeches

Through a myriad of heartfelt speeches, everyone’s settled on a common theme: teamwork. A great marriage comes from a couple that can work together like a team. Allison and Adam compliment each other and support each other’s interests and feelings. After the final speech, everyone toasted to their favorite couple. The rest of the night progressed with increased laughter, love, and celebration for the two.

Congratulations again Allison and Adam! We wish you all the best for many years to come.

A Church Wedding and Radnor Valley Country Club Reception

Kevin and Karen were blessed with great weather for their outdoor wedding day at Radnor Valley Country Club. The two started out their day with a lovely and intimate church ceremony. At the beginning of their ceremony, Kevin watched as his bride to be walked down the aisle toward him. He quickly wiped away a tear as Karen met him at the altar. We could feel the emotion in the air as these two started their journey together as husband and wife. As they reached the end of their vows, they fought back happy tears. When pronounced, Kevin and Karen shared their first kiss as husband and wife while their guests cheered on in the background.

As Kevin and Karen exited the Church, their guests waited outside the doors with bubbles in hand. Hand in hand, the two walked through a wave of bubbles in the air. After walking down the stairs to the church, Kevin and Karen shared another kiss amidst the bubbles. This created a gorgeous scene for us to capture on video and Wildflower Photographs to get as photos. After snapping a few more photos outside the church, everyone headed off to Radnor Valley Country Club.

Philadelphia Church WeddingArriving at the Radnor Valley Country Club

When Kevin and Karen arrived at the Radnor Valley Country Club, they posed for more photos in front of the Main Line Mansion. The mansion, surrounded by greenery and adorned by large columns, made for great photo opportunities. The fun began as the wedding party posed in matching bright green sunglasses in front of the building.

Wedding Celebration at Radnor Valley Country ClubAlong the club’s grounds, the staff set up tents for dining and dancing. The tents were outlined in twinkling lights, which lit up the reception as the sun went down. The tables were highlighted with light blue accents and a miniature bottle of wine for each guest. Each wine bottle came with a customized wedding koozie as a gift for the guests.

Outdoor Reception Radnor Valley Country Club

Before settling into the ceremony, Kevin and Karen toured the grounds for more photos and time together. Kevin lifted Karen across the grass and in front of one of the fountains at the club. The two continued their journey and rode in a golf cart through the venue. The wind gently blew Karen’s veil for a beautiful shot on top of a wooden bridge. Each area of the Radnor Valley Country Club created a unique scene for the two to start their celebration together.

Radnor Valley Country Club Outdoor Wedding Day

As the reception went on, Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys kept everyone on the dancefloor. After Karen and Kevin shared their heartwarming first dance, everyone joined in to keep the party going. Kevin busted out a lot of great dance moves throughout the night, including some classic seventies disco moves. In between dinner and dancing, family and friends gave speeches and toasts.

Heartwarming Speeches

Kevin’s brother began by addressing Kevin as the “most genuine, kind-hearted person that I have ever known.” He followed by saying, “Karen we completely open you into our family with open arms. Kevin will be by your side forever. We love you very much and I’m proud to call you my sister.”

In another touching speech, Karen’s older sister addressed the couple’s similarities. She states that they are both kind, comparing, compassionate, and stubborn. This elicited a few laughs from the crowd as she went on about them. She ended with,  “Watching them grow as a couple made me so happy to find out they both found each other.”

Outdoor Wedding Radnor Valley Country ClubThe night went on with plenty of laughter, dancing, and joy. We want to wish Karen and Kevin a very happy marriage together! We are so glad our Allure Films team could capture such a wonderful day. Congratulations again!

An Outdoor Ellis Preserve Wedding

Ellis Preserve Wedding Day

Christine and Frank did not expect their wedding day to end up in the middle of a pandemic. With the help of their family and friends, however, they were able to pull together a beautiful day. Their day started with a Church ceremony and continued to an outdoor wedding reception at Ellis Preserve. Their reception was held outdoor underneath a tent on the Ellis Preserve’s grounds. With the tables beautifully decorate, you could hardly tell it was outside! Through many changes, Christine and Frank were still able to hold the wedding of their dreams.

Before the CeremonyFirst Look Father of the Bride

Christine and Frank got ready with the wedding party. Christine’s bridesmaids helped her get ready, and once she donned her gown, Christine’s father came in to see her for the first time. He smiled and said “oh my heavens, you look gorgeous!” Her father was especially happy to have Frank as part of the family as “the son he never had.”

Church Wedding

The wedding party then made their way to a church ceremony, where the rest of the family and friends gathered together. Christine and Frank stood at the altar together and smiled widely through their vows. You could hear the emotion in both of their voices as they took their next step together. After being pronounced husband and wife, their guests cheered widely and Christine and Frank made their way back up the aisle. Everyone continued on to the reception at Finley Catering’s Ballroom at Ellis Preserve.

Outside the Ballroom

Ellis Preserve Bride Outdoor

Christine and Frank posed for photos along the grand pillars in front of the venue. The greenery and stone from the building made for a great photo background. They were able to get some beautiful photos from Moffa Photography, despite some light rain!

Due to mandates because of the pandemic, Christine and Frank’s reception was held outside in a tent along the grounds. Finley Catering did an amazing job transforming a tent into a beautiful wedding reception. Elegant drapery hung down from the tent’s ceiling, adding a bit of extra decore to the area. Black table cloths, gold plates, and gold candles added to their charming set up. In the center of the area, the dance floor was placed over the grass.

Ellis Preserve Wedding Tent

Christine and Frank made their grand entrance outside of the ballroom. The columns shone with pink lighting as the two came out, cheering with their hands in the air. Christine held her bouquet overhead as the two made their way in and onto the dancefloor. They beamed as started dancing as their friends and family cheered them on.

Throughout the night, their guests made heartfelt speeches about how happy they were that Christine and Frank were able to celebrate their wedding. Christine and Frank show that opposites do attract and can bring out the best in one another. We wish you two so many more happy days together. Congratulations Christine and Frank!

Happy Anniversary Lauren and Brett!

November 18, 2020 Wedding Films

The Logan hotel wedding

The Logan hotel wedding   The Logan Hotel Wedding

Lauren and Brett are celebrating one year of marriage together after getting married at The Logan Hotel Philadelphia. They married inside at The Logan’s ballroom after dating for 9 years. They were set up by friends for a date party, and the rest is history. During their vows, both of them spoke about how special that night was to them. It was their first day together that would eventually lead them to their wedding.  Their vows were heartfelt and mixed with some inside jokes, which really encapsulated their relationship.

When exchanging their vows, Lauren and Brett stood beneath a lovely decorated chuppah created by Jamie Rothstein. As they wrapped up, Brett’s voice began to waver as his emotions got the best of him. It was a lovely ceremony overall and happy tears were shed from family and friend. From one long ago magical night, to their wedding day, Lauren and Brett took their next step in life together as husband and wife.

Perhaps the next happiest person aside from the bride and groom was Lauren’s father. Before the ceremony, he saw his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. He beamed at her and exclaimed, “you look gorgeous! Wow!” Throughout the day, he continually smiled and looked upon his daughter with joy. During the reception, he spoke of how happy Lauren makes everyone around her, and how grateful he is to now have Brett as part of the family. It is easy to tell where Lauren gets her friendly and loving personality from.

Our team from Allure Films worked alongside Baiada Photography to capture all of these special moments at The Logan. The party picked up with live music from EBE Talent’s London Bridge. There was so much energy and excitement in the room for the reception. The two were lifted high during the Hora as their party guests held them and danced around them.  During the speeches, everyone that spoke looked upon Lauren and Brett with admiration. The dancing and speeches kept the night energetic and full of love and laughter.

We noticed a common theme of all of the speeches throughout each. Over again, Lauren and Brett are referred to not only as each other’s partners, but their best friends. That is such an important part of a relationship. A great romance with a solid friendship as a foundation makes the best partnership in life. Lauren and Brett are a team built on communication, trust, and friendship.

We are so happy to be a part of Lauren and Brett’s special day. It was a wonderful experience to watch you two come together. We hope you two had a great first year together as husband and wife, and look upon your wedding film for years to come. Mazle tov! Happy anniversary!

You’ll Fall In Love With This Stunning Rittenhouse Hotel Wedding

A Rittenhouse Hotel Wedding Story

Brittany and David’s Rittenhouse Hotel wedding was a day filled with love, laughter and plenty of Penn Pride!

As young college freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, Brittany and David were introduced to an education and a love they would share with one another for an eternity beyond those next four years. Since the city of Philadelphia is where these two college sweethearts first met, it was only fitting that Brittany and David came back from NYC to tie the knot at the city’s celebrated and historic Rittenhouse Hotel.

Allure Films and Cliff Mautner Photography were at Brittany and David’s wedding to photograph and film beautiful moments between the couple and their wedding party inside the hotel, as well as outside against the picturesque backdrop of Rittenhouse Square Park. Both the ceremony and reception took place in the hotel’s ballroom, which was magically transformed while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Philadelphia’s Evantine Design team were behind all of the spectacular floral arrangements, including the gorgeous hanging floral display that served as the couple’s chuppah.

After the beautiful ceremony, everyone let loose on the dance floor and hammed it up for the photobooth station, which provided tons of fun props and buttons with sayings such as “PENN IS MY HAPPY PLACE.” When the guests were wiped out from taking photos and dancing, they were sure to stop by the bagel wall! David’s company, Schmear It, provided a wide variety of bagels and “Schmear” to satisfy the guests’ biggest cravings.

Weddings Safety During COVID-19

September 30, 2020 Blog

Wedding Safety Covid-19Allure Films’ Commitment to Wedding Safety

Weddings are still happening right now, and our Allure Films team wants to make our clients feel as safe as possible on their wedding days. We work with clients in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas, primarily, and we follow all Pennsylvania COVID-19 event requirements. Pre coronavirus, our goal was to capture a celebration while not being intrusive. That is still the case for today as well, just with extra precautions. Some additions include specialized sanitation practice, Zoom video, and physical distancing.

Over the years, we received many reviews from clients saying that they did not even realize we were filming until seeing the video after. Our videographers tell a story from the background and catch the intimate details that make the wedding so special.

Now, a little has changed. Generally, the only time we need to interact during the event is to put a microphone on someone. These microphones are wiped down and sanitized before and after. There are quite a few ways to limit interaction between us, the couple, and the guests. There are even ways to include those who could not attend.

We have introduced the idea of a Zoom Wedding. Weddings are not only for the couple, but also to celebrate among family and friends. To adhere to safety conditions, we set up a Zoom call for guests to join. Guests can use a specialized link to view their loved ones special day and wish them congratulatory remarks. Streaming a wedding is a simple and safe way to include guests who cannot attend.

Along with sanitation practices, our videographers wear masks and social distance from the couple and their guests. We adhere to all CDC guidelines to ensure that any event is the safest it can possibly be. Some of our cameras are also remote operated. These cameras are meant to stay in one place and capture that area while we control how they operate from a distance. We do everything we can to ensure that we are out of sight and out of mind, while still presenting a beautiful film at the end of the day.

Book your wedding with safety when working with Allure Films. Click here for more information on our videography packages and to get in touch with us.

A Boutique Wedding at Cescaphe’s Vie

September 2, 2020 Wedding Films

boutique wedding

Philadelphia, PA | Allure Films Videographer

During the current changes in everyday life, weddings are evolving. Amidst event restrictions, couple Sara and Mitchell found a way to celebrate their marriage with a boutique wedding. Cescaphe Event Group hosted them at their venue, Vie in their outdoor courtyard. Though their wedding shrunk in size, the day still encompassed the large-scale love between Sarah and Mitchell.

For guests that could not attend, we streamed the wedding and reception so everyone could join virtually. Loved ones flooded into the video stream to wish the couple well on the start of their new life together. This was a great way to let everyone attend, even if they could not be there physically. This has become a popular option for couples who celebrate during this time.

Though events have changed, there are still unique ways to celebrate a wedding. Sara and Mitchell celebrated their boutique wedding in style at Vie with entertainment for BVT Live’s Big Ric Rising. The outdoor courtyard gave them an intimate setting with beautiful decor. The event was elegant, quaint, and full of love. Whether celebrated with many of few, a wedding is about the bride and groom starting a new chapter of their life together. Sara and Mitchell were never worried about “getting through quarantine” together, because they already knew they would be together forever.

In her vows, Sara says, “People keep saying if we can get through quarantine and covid together, we can get through anything. They’re not wrong, but I never had any doubts. To me, there is no one else.” Love can persevere through anything, and we are so happy our Allure Films team captured this milestone for Sara and Mitchell at their boutique wedding.

Congratulations again and mazel tov Sara and Mitchell! We wish you both so many happy days together.

A Wintery Wedding at Hotel Du Pont

July 17, 2020 Hotel DuPont, Wedding Films

 Wilmington, Delaware  | Allure Films

Hotel DuPont WeddingDiana and Curt celebrated their glamorous wedding at Hotel Du Pont in Delaware. Our Allure Films team supplied them with our videography skills to capture their day on film. Now looking back, they can relive all of their beautiful wedding day memories.

At the start of their day, Diana and her bridesmaids began prepping for the event. In matching floral robes, everyone bustled around getting ready for the celebration. Diana’s love of florals showed even more in her gold sparkling and flower print heels. The final step of getting ready is always the most important: the dress. The wedding dress is a seemingless transition from fiancee to bride. With a little help from mom to finish getting the dress on and the veil on her head, Diana was ready.

Before going out to start the ceremony however, Diana’s father came to see her for the first time in her wedding attire. He was all smiles as he saw his daughter for the first time, and seemed to be fighting back some happy tears as well. At the reception, Diana’s father emphasized “Today I did not give my daughter away, I simply walked her down the aisle.” He followed this up by stating that their family welcomed Curt in as the “starting quarterback” to Diana’s team. A wedding is exactly that, a team effort. It is two people merging their families together to create an even better team of support and love.

After being walked down the aisle, Diana met Curt for the start of their ceremony. Hotel Du Pont was beautifully decorated in a wintery theme. Cream colored flowers, evergreen sprigs, and pinecones lined the aisle. Diana’s bridesmaids also wore dark green gowns to match. The venue gave Diana and Curt the perfect backdrop to exchange their vows.

Diana and Curt prepared personal vows to exchange with each other, and both shared a common theme. Curt started saying that he will always be Diana’s happy dancing partner, patient husband, and loyal, faithful, and loving best friend. Diana ended her vows with “and most importantly you’re my best friend in the entire universe.” Each set of vows emphasized what a spouse should be: a best friend.

Finally, the officiant proclaimed Diana and Curt husband and wife.  The two happily made their way back up the aisle to begin their reception. Upon entering, Curt carried Diana through the open doors. Diana cheered and waved her bouquet in the air. The guest clapped for the newlyweds and began the party.

During the reception, BVT Live entertained. Everyone danced with a mixture of smooth and silly moves. Most importantly though, everyone had a great time celebrating Diana and Curt’s special day. Working alongside us, our friends from Philip Gabriel Photography captured amazing photos for the bride and groom. We are so happy that Diana and Curt will be able to look back on their wedding film and photography from this day to relive all of these memories.

Congratulations Curt and Diana! We wish you many more joyful days together. Thank you for choosing us as your wedding videographer. We can’t wait to see where life takes you both!
