Michelle And Evan’s Storybook Wedding

Bellevue Philadelphia WeddingNothing beats a classic, romantic love story. From the charming wedding ceremony to a glamorous reception at The Bellevue in Center City Philadelphia, Michelle and Evan’s wedding perfectly encapsulated their story.

Michelle didn’t realize their first movie together was a date, but Evan used his charm from day one to woo his bride-to-be. The spontaneous dates and immediate spark gave the couple an unbeatable connection that led to their romantic wedding day.

Our friends at Lamsback Floral Decorations did an amazing job setting the perfect scene for the happy couple’s big day. The elegant chuppah added to the beauty of the touching ceremony.

With such stunning scenery, it wasn’t hard for the Phillip Gabriel Photography crew to capture the day right alongside the Allure Films team. They did a great job photographing the couple and the joyful guests throughout the day.

The pair seems to glow in their love at the ceremony, and that glow turns to electricity on the dance floor at the reception. Family members and friends watched the happy couple as they danced their first dance to celebrate their future together. To tug at our heartstrings more, Evan’s brother recounted a story about how Evan told him how lucky he is to have Michelle, from the very first day they met.

Here’s to Michelle and Evan!

A Down Town Club Wedding With Some Harry Potter Magic

Allison had only known Ross for about two weeks before telling him that she was leaving for Kenya to finish up some research. Ross was not about to give up and let this amazing woman slip out of his life. When you find “the one,” you can’t let them get away! Ross booked the first flight to a continent he had never been to just to see Allison, and the rest was history. Just a few years later the couple said “I do” at Philadelphia’s Down Town Club

If we could describe Allison & Ross’s wedding in one word, it would be “magical!” Allison and Ross got married on a day when the city looked like a winter wonderland. With snow falling, their wintery day became a perfect opportunity for photos. The snow added a magical touch to photos and videos taken outside in the city. If rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, snow should be even more so! Allison’s gorgeous shoulder shawl kept her warm as the snow fell down on her and Ross. During their first look, they were both covered in snow, but couldn’t have been happier just to see one another. They looked at each other as if there was no one else in the world.

At the beginning of the day, The Allure Films crew started out documenting the couple’s wedding prep at the lovely Hotel Monaco. Following the wedding prep, our crew got to film (here comes that word again)  “magical” moments of the couple meeting each other outside as snow was falling from the sky. Ralph Deal Photography took some beautiful photos of the couple together during this time as well. It is always an honor and a blast working with this photographer!

Both the ceremony and the reception were held at the Down Town Club. As the storm weathered on outside, Allison and Ross exchanged vows inside the club. Their vows were heartfelt and sincere as they came together as husband and wife. Their friends and family cheered as they shared their first kiss as a married couple!

After the ceremony, they made their way into the uniquely-decorated reception. The decor at the reception will make Harry Potter fans geek out when they see it in the wedding preview. The guest table seating cards were themed off of the sorting houses at Hogwarts. Instead of opting for tradition floral centerpieces, there were golden replicas of the whomping willow trees with tiny lanterns on the branches. The wedding cake had flying dragon details along it as well! These Harry Potter fans knew exactly how to bring their shared interest together for their wedding day. As the night went on there was lots of dancing to popular tunes spun by BVT Live‘s DJ Gaetano Basco. He kept everyone on the dance floor for this fun night.

Allison & Ross, may your future as husband and wife be filled with plenty of love, magic, laughter and Happily Ever After!

Heating Things Up At Amy & Scott’s Wonderful Winter Wedding

Amy & Scott Crystal Tea Room Wedding VideoAs we enter into the summer wedding season, it is important that we do not forget some of the beautiful weddings of couples who were married in the winter. Amy & Scott’s romantic winter wedding is definitely one for the books, and Allure Films had a blast capturing every second of it!

The two were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony held at St. John the Evangelist before heading over to the reception that followed at Finley Catering’s Crystal Tea Room. Evantine Design created all the beautiful floral arrangements and décor seen throughout the ballroom, which perfectly complemented the stunning chandeliers and soaring ceilings. As our crew was filming throughout the day, Alison Conklin was also there to photograph all the incredible moments and scenery from beginning to end.

EBE’s band Dreamtime had everyone busting a move on the dance floor, including the youngest members of the bridal party: the adorable flower girls and ring bearer. Aside from dancing the night away, everyone was treated to a delicious meal and touching speeches dedicated to the couple of the day.

Amy & Scott, we wish both the absolute best and a lifetime of happiness together!

A Picturesque Outdoor Setting For Anya & Russell’s Wedding Day

Anya & Russell Appleford Estate Wedding VideoThere’s nothing like an Appleford Estate wedding!

Just a few months ago, Anya and Russell said “I do” outside on the grounds of the picturesque arboretum, filled with boxwood gardens and blossoming trees. Anya happens to be part of the Philip Gabriel Photography team, so you can just imagine how ecstatic her coworkers were when Russell popped the question.

If you have been keeping up with our blog, you know that the Allure Films crew is no stranger to working alongside our friends at Philip Gabriel Photography. To simply say we felt honored when Anya and Russell asked us to film their wedding, would be a complete understatement.

For most brides, that short walk down the aisle with their father is a beautiful moment that goes by so fast but one they will never forget, and this definitely rings true for Anya. Anya was born in Ukraine and moved to the United States with her mother and brother when she was 10.

The bride had only seen her father a total of three times since moving to America, and it meant the world to her to have her father present to give her away. Without a secured Visa, Anya was concerned that her father would not be able to be there for her big day. Alas, the stars aligned and Anya’s father was able to be there!

Thanks to Sarah and her team from All About Events, Anya and Russell’s wedding day went off without a hitch on the day they got hitched! Petah Bashano was the visionary behind the couple’s wedding décor of beautiful and exotic dark teal floral arrangements.

The talented performers of BVTLive’s Dream Time provided the beautiful music for the ceremony and cocktail hour that followed. Anya and Russell exchanged vows before friends and family in an interfaith ceremony officiated by Julie Cassidy, Owner and Wedding Officiant of Storied Celebrations.

The couples’ vows to one another were very unique and personal, and even gained a few laughs when Anya vowed to support Russ “even if that means rooting for the Giants and the Yankees…occasionally.”

The celebration continued with a beautiful semi-outdoor reception consisting of a wonderful meal catered by John Serock Catering, and dancing, lots of dancing. DJ Steve Croce of Silver Sound Entertainment played amazing tunes throughout the evening. Anya’s boss Gabe, Philip Gabriel Photography’s owner, even put the camera down for a moment to bust a move! We know this was a day the couple will never forget.

Anya and Russell, we wish you the best and this is only the beginning of a lifetime of happiness!

A Wedding At The Union League – Four Years In The Making

April 16, 2018 Blog, The Union League

Meagan & Michael's Wedding at the Union LeagueAfter being together for “four years, nine weeks, three days and 19 hours,” Meagan & Michael finally tied the knot before friends and family at the Union League of Philadelphia.

Our filmmakers were there from the beginning to document the preparation before the ceremony, and the stunning footage kept rolling all the way to the end of the reception. Our friends at Philip Gabriel Photography were there to get great shots of Meagan & Michael in front of City Hall and the Art Museum, along with indoor shots of the couple in the Union League’s Four-Diamond hotel The Inn.

Michael’s son stood by his side serving as his father’s best man, while Meagan’s sister served as her Maid-of-Honor and walked her down the aisle. At the end of the night, Meagan & Michael – who are known as “M&M” – cut into an adorable wedding cake featuring a bride and groom M&M cartoon candy wedding topper. The newlyweds loved it just as much as their guests did!

Congratulations Meagan & Michael, and may all your days, weeks, months and years together be filled with a tremendous amount of love! Thank you for allowing the Allure Films team to capture your stunning wedding at the Union League!

A Wedding Under The Stars At The Franklin Institute

Nikki & Jordan's Ceremony - Franklin Institute Wedding VideoYou could say our Allure Films crew was blinded by science and love on Nikki & Jordan’s wedding day. Not everyone gets to marry the love of their life under a sky full of stars and a full moon, but at the Franklin Institute, anything is possible!

It was quite the experience for our team to document the couple’s wedding ceremony in the Franklin Institute’s Fels Planetarium. This particular ceremony was unique in many ways other than the awe-inspiring location. The bride and groom’s sweet vows to each other incorporated their Jewish and Gaelic heritages, and it was clear that they were truly written from the heart.

The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour in the museum’s Electricity exhibit, where wedding guests noshed on incredible bites catered by Frog Commissary. This cocktail hour was an equally “electrifying” experience for our filmmakers and the guests – friends and family watched in amazement as they literally lit up the sustainable dance floor with their moves!

This is one of the things that we love the most about one-of-a-kind venues like the Franklin Institute. We’re big fans of spaces that engage guests, allowing them to feel like they are a part of the big day in more ways than as just a spectator. At the Franklin Institute, Nikki and Jordan’s friends and family were able to participate in activities that were fun, educational, and exciting as they wandered the halls during cocktail hour.

Carl Alan Floral Design was behind all of the stunning floral arrangements, from the bride’s bouquet, to the table centerpieces and more! For the reception, we joined the guests in Ben Franklin Memorial room, where the infamous Founding Father himself looked on as everyone danced the night away in celebration thanks to great sound provided by Synergetic Sound.

Congratulations Nikki & Jordan, and best wishes for a fun-filled future together!

Opposites Attract & Make The Perfect Pair At Lindsay & Daniel’s Wedding

The Logan Philadelphia Wedding Video - Lindsay & DanielYou know that old saying, “Opposites attract?” Well that statement definitely holds truth when it comes to describing Lindsay & Daniel. According to Lindsay’s sister Shelby “Lindsay is the small East Coast vegetarian who is the perfect complement to Dan, a tall, blonde-haired, football- and steak-loving Texan.” Clearly, they are a match made in heaven!

After meeting in Seattle six years ago, Lindsay & Daniel headed back East and teamed up with Lauren James Events to plan what was to be an unforgettable wedding held at The Logan in Philadelphia.

The Allure Films crew arrived at the hotel to capture the heartwarming exchange between the bride and groom during their First Look. There’s nothing like documenting a First Look between the bride and groom before their wedding, and thanks to the magic of film, Lindsay & Daniel can press the rewind button on this moment for the rest of their lives. Cliff Mautner Photography was also on hand to get stunning images from the entire day.

It’s always amazing to see everyone come together to transform a hotel ballroom from a space fit for a ceremony to a space fit for a reception. Jamie Rothstein Floral & Event Design were the creative visionaries behind all of the wedding décor elements. We were in awe of the couple’s ivory floral-adorned chuppah.

The reception was a big celebration filled with plenty of great speeches and friends and family dancing to Starlight Music. The dance floor was packed the whole night, and everyone had a blast, including the happy couple.

Mazel Tov Lindsay & Daniel, and here’s to a lifetime of lots of love and happiness!

Sparks Flew & Fires Danced At This Phoenixville Foundry Wedding

Heather-Anne & Jules Phoenixville Foundry wedding videoFor Heather-Anne and Jules’ wedding, the Allure Films crew found ourselves back at the Phoenixville Foundry for an evening of love, laughter and fire dancing. That’s right, fire dancing!

Aside from each other, this bride and groom share a passion for fire dancing. Talk about upping the entertainment ante for your guests! We bet it was the first time many of the couple’s guests got to enjoy such riveting acts at a wedding. It was such a privilege for both our filmmakers and for the photographers from Philip Gabriel Photography to capture these amazing performances.

The wedding began with the couple’s non-clergy ceremony before their friends and family in the venue’s lovely Sculpture Garden. The Foundry’s Sculpture Garden provides a perfect ambiance for an outdoor sunset ceremony. For those who don’t know, a non-clergy wedding is when the bride and groom officiate their own marriage without a third party clergy member. This allowed for the bride and groom’s vows to be truly their own, giving them the chance to reflect on their love and devotion to one another.

We also want to give an honorable mention to the bridal party’s twist on the traditional bouquet. Instead of holding a full floral bouquet, the bride walked down the aisle holding a lantern that lit her way, designed in collaboration with the couple’s floral designer Carl Alan Designs. Truly a unique touch!

At the reception, the dance floor of the Phoenixville Foundry’s Cupola Ballroom was packed thanks to fabulous music by the Silver Sound Entertainment. To close the celebration, Heather-Anne and Jules had surprised their guests with the perfect ending to their big night with a beautiful firework display. This was truly a wedding full of sparks in every sense of the word.

Congratulations Heather-Anne and Jules, and here’s to a lifetime together filled with love and adventure!

Jennifer and Anthony exchanged vows before their friends and family in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf ClubMoffa Photography was there to get amazing shots during the ceremony, as well as afterwards at the reception held in the resort’s Presidential Ballroom. Love Fills The Air – Both Indoors And Out – At Meghan & Alexander’s Wedding

February 13, 2018 Christian, Overbrook Country Club

As Meghan and Alexander finished up their final undergraduate semester at the University of Notre Dame, little did they know they were about to earn a degree…and a partner for life! Meghan and Alex were married in a Catholic ceremony surrounded by their friends and family at Our Mother of Good Counsel.

Allure Films began our day of filming this joyous occasion with the bridal party prep. When Meghan had to make the decision about who she would ask to be her matron-of-honor, the answer was clearly a no-brainer: it would be both of her sisters, Mary Lauren and Katie.

Do these ladies look familiar? That’s because Allure Films had the honor of filming Mary Lauren and her husband Derek’s wedding a few short months ago!

Now, on Meghan and Alex’s big day, we followed the couple from there ceremony to a reception at the Overbrook Golf Club, where it is always great to work with Jimmy and his amazing team. No Overbrook Golf Club wedding is complete without the bride and groom getting outdoor photographs together. M2 Photography took beautiful photographs of the happy newlyweds on the club’s beautiful landscape.

The reception was a fun time filled with speeches made by the bride and groom’s immediate family members along with dancing to BVT Live’s incredible Big Ric Rising Band. Alexander and his groomsmen even treated the guests with a song performance!

Congratulations Meghan and Alexander! May your joining together bring you more joy than you can imagine!
