A Wedding Under The Stars At The Franklin Institute

Nikki & Jordan's Ceremony - Franklin Institute Wedding VideoYou could say our Allure Films crew was blinded by science and love on Nikki & Jordan’s wedding day. Not everyone gets to marry the love of their life under a sky full of stars and a full moon, but at the Franklin Institute, anything is possible!

It was quite the experience for our team to document the couple’s wedding ceremony in the Franklin Institute’s Fels Planetarium. This particular ceremony was unique in many ways other than the awe-inspiring location. The bride and groom’s sweet vows to each other incorporated their Jewish and Gaelic heritages, and it was clear that they were truly written from the heart.

The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour in the museum’s Electricity exhibit, where wedding guests noshed on incredible bites catered by Frog Commissary. This cocktail hour was an equally “electrifying” experience for our filmmakers and the guests – friends and family watched in amazement as they literally lit up the sustainable dance floor with their moves!

This is one of the things that we love the most about one-of-a-kind venues like the Franklin Institute. We’re big fans of spaces that engage guests, allowing them to feel like they are a part of the big day in more ways than as just a spectator. At the Franklin Institute, Nikki and Jordan’s friends and family were able to participate in activities that were fun, educational, and exciting as they wandered the halls during cocktail hour.

Carl Alan Floral Design was behind all of the stunning floral arrangements, from the bride’s bouquet, to the table centerpieces and more! For the reception, we joined the guests in Ben Franklin Memorial room, where the infamous Founding Father himself looked on as everyone danced the night away in celebration thanks to great sound provided by Synergetic Sound.

Congratulations Nikki & Jordan, and best wishes for a fun-filled future together!

Opposites Attract & Make The Perfect Pair At Lindsay & Daniel’s Wedding

The Logan Philadelphia Wedding Video - Lindsay & DanielYou know that old saying, “Opposites attract?” Well that statement definitely holds truth when it comes to describing Lindsay & Daniel. According to Lindsay’s sister Shelby “Lindsay is the small East Coast vegetarian who is the perfect complement to Dan, a tall, blonde-haired, football- and steak-loving Texan.” Clearly, they are a match made in heaven!

After meeting in Seattle six years ago, Lindsay & Daniel headed back East and teamed up with Lauren James Events to plan what was to be an unforgettable wedding held at The Logan in Philadelphia.

The Allure Films crew arrived at the hotel to capture the heartwarming exchange between the bride and groom during their First Look. There’s nothing like documenting a First Look between the bride and groom before their wedding, and thanks to the magic of film, Lindsay & Daniel can press the rewind button on this moment for the rest of their lives. Cliff Mautner Photography was also on hand to get stunning images from the entire day.

It’s always amazing to see everyone come together to transform a hotel ballroom from a space fit for a ceremony to a space fit for a reception. Jamie Rothstein Floral & Event Design were the creative visionaries behind all of the wedding décor elements. We were in awe of the couple’s ivory floral-adorned chuppah.

The reception was a big celebration filled with plenty of great speeches and friends and family dancing to Starlight Music. The dance floor was packed the whole night, and everyone had a blast, including the happy couple.

Mazel Tov Lindsay & Daniel, and here’s to a lifetime of lots of love and happiness!

Sparks Flew & Fires Danced At This Phoenixville Foundry Wedding

Heather-Anne & Jules Phoenixville Foundry wedding videoFor Heather-Anne and Jules’ wedding, the Allure Films crew found ourselves back at the Phoenixville Foundry for an evening of love, laughter and fire dancing. That’s right, fire dancing!

Aside from each other, this bride and groom share a passion for fire dancing. Talk about upping the entertainment ante for your guests! We bet it was the first time many of the couple’s guests got to enjoy such riveting acts at a wedding. It was such a privilege for both our filmmakers and for the photographers from Philip Gabriel Photography to capture these amazing performances.

The wedding began with the couple’s non-clergy ceremony before their friends and family in the venue’s lovely Sculpture Garden. The Foundry’s Sculpture Garden provides a perfect ambiance for an outdoor sunset ceremony. For those who don’t know, a non-clergy wedding is when the bride and groom officiate their own marriage without a third party clergy member. This allowed for the bride and groom’s vows to be truly their own, giving them the chance to reflect on their love and devotion to one another.

We also want to give an honorable mention to the bridal party’s twist on the traditional bouquet. Instead of holding a full floral bouquet, the bride walked down the aisle holding a lantern that lit her way, designed in collaboration with the couple’s floral designer Carl Alan Designs. Truly a unique touch!

At the reception, the dance floor of the Phoenixville Foundry’s Cupola Ballroom was packed thanks to fabulous music by the Silver Sound Entertainment. To close the celebration, Heather-Anne and Jules had surprised their guests with the perfect ending to their big night with a beautiful firework display. This was truly a wedding full of sparks in every sense of the word.

Congratulations Heather-Anne and Jules, and here’s to a lifetime together filled with love and adventure!

Happily Ever After At The Westin Hotel In Philadelphia

Feelings of love and celebration filled the air of the Westin Hotel Philadelphia on Carly and Jeremy’s wedding day. One of the unique factors about their wedding was that the wedding prep, ceremony and reception all took place inside the hotel. Talk about convenience for both the wedding party and their guests!

Photographer Ron Soliman was there to capture amazing shots from both inside and outside of the hotel, including scenic shots from the couple’s “First Look.” One of the most touching moments for the team from Allure Films to document that day was the ceremony, especially when the bride walked down the aisle and was given away by her mother and father to the Beatles classic, “Here Comes The Sun.”

As soon as Jeremy smashed the glass at the end of the ceremony, it was time to party! In addition to creating the breathtaking chuppah, Carl Alan Floral Designs also helped transform the hotel’s Grand Ballroom to a space fit for a dream reception, including submerged floral and candle centerpieces at every table. After a delicious meal, the guests were dancing all night to great music by EBE’s LA Starz.

For a sneak peek at all of the fun, take a look at this sample of Carly and Jeremy’s Westin Philadelphia Wedding video:

From Sweethearts To Husband & Wife!

Morgan and Ben tied the knot in front of their friends and loved ones, who filled every pew of the stunning The National Shrine of Saint Rita’s of Cascia. It’s been a while since we’ve been to this gorgeous chapel, and it proved to be the perfect setting for the happy couple to exchange their vows.

After saying “I Do”, Morgan and Ben led their guests up Broad Street to the Grand Ballroom of downtown Philadelphia’s iconic and historic Hyatt at the Bellevue. The Hyatt at the Bellevue is conveniently located in the heart of Philadelphia, on a section of Broad known as the Avenue of the Arts. Its convenient location allows for incredible photo and video opportunities, and Allure Films knows of several places nearby to get the perfect shot in front of some of the city’s most well-known landmarks.

Lamsback Floral Decorators were the designers of the beautiful ivory floral arrangements that were the perfect compliment to the couple’s classic black and white style wedding. The couple’s wedding photographer, Philip Gabriel Photography, was able to get some fun and romantic shots of both the whole wedding party and just the couple themselves. The Eddie Bruce Orchestra provided the musical entertainment that had everyone dancing the night away!

Congratulations Morgan and Ben, and here’s to continuing to build a beautiful life together!

Laura & Greg’s Fairy Tale Wedding At The Kimmel Center

Accomplished journalists Laura and Greg just finished an important chapter in their never-ending fairytale: their wedding day!

Laura and Greg recently tied the knot at the renowned Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Center City Philadelphia. Both the ceremony and reception were held within the performance venue’s Hamilton Rooftop Garden.

The Hamilton Rooftop Garden is a beautiful atrium oasis that offers incredible views of the Philadelphia skyline. Petals Lane created a wonderful environment with design elements such as the beautiful chuppah, romantic candle lanterns lining the aisle, and stunning floral arrangements at the reception.

Photographer Susan Stripling was there to capture all the great moments alongside the talented videographers of Allure Films. After the couple said “I do”, the evening consisted of touching speeches from family members as guests dined on a wonderful culinary treat from the amazing chefs at Garces Events.

After dinner, everyone danced to an incredible set performed by the American Deluxe Band, while the beautiful stars shined on them through the Kimmel Center’s soaring glass ceiling.

Enjoy this sneak preview of Laura and Greg’s Kimmel Center wedding video, which captures some of the highlights of their perfect first day as husband and wife:

Philly Flavor With A Touch Of New Orleans Tradition At The Independence Visitor Center

The City of Brotherly Love felt like the Big Easy on Theresa & Bret’s wedding day!

Theresa & Bret were married in a beautiful ceremony held at the Liberty View Ballroom of Philadelphia’s Independence Visitor Center. Although the couple currently reside in the Greater Philadelphia area, it was important to the couple that they incorporate the wedding traditions from Bret’s hometown of New Orleans into their special day. The team from Allure Films was happy to capture every last detail on film.

The Independence National Historical Park felt like the French Quarter when Theresa & Ben twirled their parasols in the air, leading a “Second Line parade” to the Ballroom at the Ben after exchanging their vows. A Second Line parade is a New Orleans wedding custom: traditionally, the “first line” consists of the wedding party and a brass band, while the rest of the wedding guests  create a “second line” of revelers whipping their handkerchiefs in celebration. Not only was this a sight to see, but the band was fantastic!

Just like the first half of Theresa & Bret’s wedding, the reception at the Ballroom at the Ben was nothing short of sensational. The ballroom was completely adorned in gorgeous floral arrangements and table centerpieces by the talented artists of Lamsback Floral Decorators. Guests were served cocktails, appetizers, and a delicious main course prepared by the awesome culinary team at Finley Catering. After the couple’s first dance, the dance floor was filled with everyone moving to the tunes of yesterday and today performed by EBE’s Milan 77.

Congratulations Theresa & Bret. As they say in N’awlins “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!” Translation: Let the good times roll!

Lots Of Love & Plenty Of Laughs At Sam & Jill’s Philadelphia Wedding

November 15, 2017 Blog, Jewish, The Logan Hotel

A great marriage is built on love, trust…and in the case of Sam and Jill, knowing when to “give each other Reese’s after a long hard day!”

Philadelphia natives Sam and Jill recently tied the knot at the City of Brotherly Love’s The Logan Hotel. Allure Films had the honor of documenting this joyous occasion for the amazing couple and their family.

Both the wedding ceremony and reception took place in The Logan Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. It was incredible to see how quickly everyone worked together to transform the venue into a space fit for both parts of the wedding within a very short window of time. Allure Films and Baiada Photography were there to capture all the great moments, including Sam and Jill saying “I do.” Philadelphia’s Ten Pennies Florist were responsible for the lovely floral arrangements that lined the aisle.

The bride and groom’s wedding vows were heartfelt and tender, filled with lots of love and plenty of laughter. Just like the happy couple! We love the personal twist that they were able to add to their otherwise traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.

As the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour, the Grand Ballroom was magically transformed into the reception hall. A live band was there to keep guests moving and grooving throughout the night.

Sam and Jill’s wedding reception definitely consisted of a lot of love, laughter and dancing! All night long the dance floor was packed, with Sam and Jill always found at the center of it. At one point Jill even becomes a part of the band! Aside from filming the traditional hora dance, we had the privilege of being able to capture moments from the Mezinke dance: a flower crowning ceremony honoring Sam’s parents for marrying off their last child.

Mazel Tov Sam and Jill, here’s to a lifetime of love, happiness, and plenty of Reese’s together!

Meggie & Gordon Return To Their Hometown To Say “I Do”

We love it when we’re asked to film military weddings!

Recently, Meggie and Gordon – members of the US Navy – returned to Meggie’s hometown to exchange their vows. As members of the US Navy, they had spent plenty of time traveling the world, and were more than happy to finally celebrate their special day with all of their family and friends at home in Malvern.

Allure Films and Campli Photography were there to document the couple’s special day from beginning to end. After Meggie got ready in her childhood home, she walked down the aisle of St. Patrick’s Church. She was married to Gordon in a traditional ceremony, which was just as beautiful as the bride was!

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the stunning Aronimink Golf Club, which was finely decorated with floral arrangements and centerpieces designed by Tish Long. The bride and groom arrived to the party in style, wearing his-and-hers monogrammed loafers as Meggie rocked her US Navy t-shirt with her new last name on the back.

One of the best moments we captured was on the dance floor, when Meggie showed off her dancing skills by doing the classic “worm” in her wedding dress! We also loved the looks on the bride and groom’s faces as they cut their wedding cake with the ceremonial sword, a true military wedding tradition.

Meggie & Gordon, here’s to a beautiful future together as husband and wife!

A Night Full Of Wow’s At Jeff & Maureen’s Water Works Wedding

It’s hard to sum up Jeff and Maureen’s wedding day in one particular word but “breathtaking” seems like an excellent choice!

Jeff and Maureen’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at Water Works, a National Historical Landmark situated between Boathouse Row and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When it comes to offering phenomenal views of the city, Water Works is a prime location.

The bride and groom exchanged vows before their friends and family in the historic venue’s Grand Pavilion, an outdoor space of neoclassical architecture that offers fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding river and Center City skyline. While Jeff and Maureen’s heartfelt vows captivated everyone’s attention, their pups nearly stole the show sporting their own best tux and gown as they made their way down the aisle.

The reception was held in the Main Ballroom where the floral arrangements by Beautiful Blooms provided the perfect touch to the room’s stunning interior of crystal chandeliers and natural hardwood floors. Allure Films enjoyed capturing Jeff and Maureen’s reaction to their beautiful reception decorations.

One of the the many highlights of the reception was the fireworks display that served as the perfect grand finale to the happy couple’s special day.

Congratulations Jeff and Maureen, here’s to a lifetime of making beautiful memories together!
